The Common Faults And Troubleshooting Methods Of The Oxygen Concentrator

Many failure problems often occur during the use of the domestic oxygen concentrator, many of which are often caused by improper 

operation. In order to help users better use the oxygen generator for oxygen therapy, we will teach you the troubleshooting methods.

Power Issues

If you do not see indicator lights or the device won’t turn on: 

a) Check to be sure the device is plugged in to a reliable power source.  

b) If plugged in, is that outlet 

connected to a switch that someone may have turned off? Plug into a different outlet to see if concentrator will turn on again. 

It is recommended to plug device in directly to a wall outlet, not an extension cord or power strip.

c) Circut board of the oxygen concentrator is damaged or breaker is OFF. For this problem please contact your local distributor for service.

Low output or no output

If you feel that you are not getting the usual amount of oxygen or oxygen is not flowing from the device at all, check the following:

a) Make sure tubing is securely connected to unit, check for kinks or knots in the tubing  

b) If using humidification, check humidifier bottle lid to be sure it is screwed on correctly, and check the holes on the inside tube of 

the bottle to see if there is any block. Sometimes if tap water is used instead of the recommended distilled water; you’ll find 

that the humidifier bubbler tube will get clogged with minerals found in tap water.

Warning lights visible & audible alarm

If the warning light is on constant, the red light is flashing and an intermittent alarm is chirping: 

a) Oxygen flow meter may be too high which over the rated flow.

b) Be sure unit is 20cm away from walls or furniture; allowing air to be drawn in to the concentrator and so overheating doesn’t occur. Do not place the machine on the carpet.

c) Clear and replace the filter according to the user manual’s instruction, dirty filter will affect the machine’s performance.
