Several Important Things to Reminder to End Users
For using oxygen concentrator at home, there are several important things needs to pay attention.
1. Positioning the Unit:
The oxygen concentrator should be positioned in a well-ventilated area with a hard floor surface such as tiles or concrete. Avoid placing soft materials like cloth or plastic beneath the machine. Maintain a minimum clearance of 30cm between the machine and walls or furniture to ensure smooth air intake and exhaust. This will prevent issues such as temperature or concentration alarms.
2. Environmental Considerations:
Avoid using the oxygen concentrator in proximity to smoking or dusty environments. The compressor may inadvertently draw in smoke and dust, which can compromise the machine's performance.
3. Use and Maintenance of Humidification Bottles:
Water Quality and Frequency of Change: It is recommended to use distilled or purified water in the humidification bottle and change it approximately every three days.
Cleaning and Disinfection: If scale builds up in the oxygen outlet pipe, soak it in a solution of white vinegar and warm water (1:3 ratio) for approximately two hours. This will effectively disinfect and clean the scale. Neglecting regular cleaning may lead to clogging of the oxygen outlet pipe, resulting in inability to adjust the flow meter, lack of bubbling, and no oxygen output.
Storage: If the humidification bottle is not in use for an extended period, empty the water and allow it to dry thoroughly.
4. Maintenance of Filter Cotton and Filters:
Air Intake Filter Cotton (Primary Cotton): Frequent washing and drying of the air intake filter cotton of oxygen concentrator is advisable before use.
Replacement of High-Efficiency Filter: Under normal circumstances, the high-efficiency filter should be replaced every 1500 hours. The machine will provide a replacement reminder at 1500 hours or multiples of this interval. After replacing the high-efficiency filter, press the Enter mute key (located below the M key). Important Note: High-efficiency filters are not reusable. Dispose of the old filter properly.
